Autumn is the season that allows couple’s to get really to creative with their ideas and decorations. From rustic and rich colours, to spooky or enchanted themes, an autumn bride has so much choice.
It’s safe to say that a UK autumn wedding will come with mild weather, a chance of drizzle and possibly (just possibly) a few hour of clear sky.
With summer over, so you don’t have to pray for warm weather. Instead you’ll be arranging spiced cocktails, fluffy throws and some sparklers for your evening reception.

Kirsty’s Wedding Day:
Kirsty chose to have her wedding in late summer/autumn because that’s her favourite time of year.
After searching all over for inspiration, she took to Pinterest to find ideas, and eventually decided on her autumnal colour scheme.
Kirsty chose emerald green as her main colour, however paired this with rustic colours for the flowers and decorations to give her wedding that Autumn feel.
Kirsty and her partner already had an idea of the type of venue they wanted, but as they booked during lockdown, they could only find venues by searching on Google.
The couples wedding day was mixture of sunshine and rain, but our beautiful bride said that this allowed her photographer to achieved some mind-blowing photos. Kirsty has said her wedding day was the better than she could have imagined because of the setting, venue and people, and the happiest day of her life.
When asked if she would change anything at all about her wedding day, Kirsty said that there was nothing she would change, and she loved every moment of planning the wedding day, as well as the big day itself.
If Kirsty had one piece of advice for any future brides planning their wedding she would say:
“Do what you want, its your day. Don’t let other peoples opinions impact your choices. Its the one time you have that’s all about you and your partner, so go as big or as small as you want.”
Bethany’s Wedding Day:
Bethany chose to have her wedding in late summer/autumn because she loved all the autumnal colours. When deciding on which colours she wanted for her wedding, she stuck to the traditional colours for Autumn, with a mainly dark green theme, paired with hints of orange, gold and white.
Bethany found it difficult to find her venue. Each one they viewed wasn’t quite right, until they saw the projected plans for Foxtail Barns.
Everything about the venue was perfect for their Autumn wedding, with the forest and the woodlands look. It also had an especially relaxed family vibe, making it perfect for their wedding.
During the wedding they experienced a lot of rain, however when the sun shone through it gave them beautiful setting for guests to go outside, and also great photo opportunities.
Bethany says her wedding flew by, going too quickly, but they loved every second of the day. A few things went wrong, and other things were forgotten, however she’s said she still wouldn’t change anything about her day, as it was perfect for her and her husband.
Bethany’s advice for any future brides planning their day would be:
“Enjoy each moment, don’t stress the small things and use the beautiful colours of Autumn to your advantage.”
